Hanna, former DA, 'magnificent human being'

Thomas L. “Tom” Hanna, a former Jefferson County District Attorney who helped start the careers of Bob Wortham, Larry Thorne, Tom Maness, Gary Sanderson, late Larry Gist and the late Leonard Giblin and countless others, died Feb. 6. He was 83.

Local ADA selected for national office

Jefferson County District Attorney Bob Wortham proudly announced Sept. 28 that veteran prosecutor Cornelius Williams, Jr. has been selected as the Director for the Southern Region of the National Black Prosecutors Association (NBPA).
