The Kelly High School baseball team won the school's first-ever TAPPS state championship May 16 when they defeated Midland Christian, 4-2. Beaumont City Council honored the team with a special proclamation along with a city-wide celebration.

The Kelly High School Drama Dawgs presents “Shrek the Musical” on Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7. Showtimes are 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at mkchs.com/drama. The 6:30 p.m. show includes dinner and tickets are $45.

Former Kelly standout Ford Proctor will be honored by his high school baseball team Saturday, Jan. 28, when the Bulldogs host their annual Bulldog World Series fundraiser at the baseball stadium beginning at 10 a.m.
