Female students with an interest in entering an industry-based field had the opportunity to visit area leaders during the SETX Women in Industry Week the week of March 21.

Racquetball Southeast Texas natives David Malain of Beaumont and Glen Childers Jr. of Orangefield won the 2021 Winter Splat Racquetball Tournament held in McKinney, Texas. Malain and Childers won five matches to earn the first-place medals.

Funds for students at LU

The U.S. Department of Education has released guidelines for Lamar University to distribute $11.5 million in emergency grants to eligible students during the 2021-22 academic year.
