Silsbee High’s GOLD! robotics team wins 4A state championship

The Silsbee High School’s GOLD! Robotics traveled to Houston and won the UIL Class 4A VEX Robotics Texas State Championship on Feb. 11. The team’s two robots took both first and second place and was the sixth tournament championship team GOLD! has won during the school year.

Three cheers for the cheer team

The Little Cypress Mauriceville cheerleaders competed at the UIL State Spirit Competition in Fort Worth on Friday, Jan. 15. The squad competed in the preliminary round and advanced to the top 20 state finalists and competed in the final.

UIL extends suspension of activities through May 4

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) is extending its suspension of all UIL sanctioned activities due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Texas. All contests, practices, rehearsals and workouts will remain suspended until further notice.
