A Tyler County man was arrested after he assaulted a Silsbee Police Department (SPD) officer on Jan. 24 – thanks to bystanders stepping in.

Man arrested for felony child sex crime

An area man was arrested on felony child sex charge, according to a Silsbee Police Department arrest report. Jan. 11, Christopher Scott Sundgren, 40, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony.

Silsbee PD reports various arrests

Seven people were arrested last week on misdemeanor and felony charges, according to the Silsbee Police Department. Johnethan W. Tanner, 64, was arrested July 11 for theft, $100-$750, a Class B misdemeanor.
