A pair of Hardin County men were arrested the week of Jan. 22, according to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO). Sheriff Bryan Weatherford reports that deputies stopped a passenger car on FM 92, south of Fred, near the 92 Restaurant, for a traffic violation.

Area man arrested in Tyler County

A Hardin County man was arrested recently by the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Bryan Weatherwood reported that John Hancock, 32, of Lumberton, was arrested for assault of family member and failure to identify with false information.

Two sisters were arrested on felony burglary charges of a Fred store, according to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford. Weatherford reported on Oct. 17 at about 11:20 p.m. Tyler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the Country Corner Store.

Teen indicted for terroristic threat

A Tyler County grand jury indicted a 17-year-old high school student for felony terroristic threat. According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, District Attorney Lucas Cabin presented the case to the grand jury on Sept. 29.

Man arrested for assaulting wife

A Hardin County man was arrested and charged with assault after he allegedly attacked his wife. According to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, Steven Jordan, 32, of Village Mills, was arrested June 24.
