Outgoing Nederland ISD Superintendent succumbs to battle with cancer

Out-going Nederland ISD Superintendent Robin Perez, who served in the position for four years and spearheaded the district’s recently awarded bond for widespread updates of the education facilities, died Tuesday after a battle with cancer, the district announced in a statement.

Nederland ISD’s Board of Trustees announced a lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools pursuant to an Aug. 3 unanimous vote to name Dr. Stuart Kieschnick as their choice.
