The Museum of the Gulf Coast (MOGC) eighth annual Art & Photography Contest is accepting entries until 5 p.m. on Jan. 20 for inclusion in the event.

Museum Madness Weekend

Halloween is vastly approaching and there is no better way jumpstart the fun festivities with the area’s first-ever Museum Madness this weekend, beginning Thursday, Oct. 20. Various museums and local destinations spots will host events for the entire family throughout Jefferson County.

Museum of the Gulf Coast The Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur welcomed four new members into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, Sept. 24, including three into Sports and one into Notable People. Jason Tyner, a West Brook graduate, is a former Texas A&M and Major League Baseball player.

Free fun with Sonny and friends

The Museum of the Gulf Coast, 700 Procter St. in Port Arthur, is having a free Christmas Family Fun Day on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. The event will be outdoors, and social distancing guidelines will be in effect.
