COVID case trend continues downward descent

For the second straight week, Southeast Texas officials reported a downward trend in positive COVID-19 cases, along with a drop in hospitalizations, but still urge caution and vaccination ahead of the impending holiday season and the gatherings it entices.

Editorial: Healthy for the holiday

It’s time for a reality check for many people who have refused, or been apathetic about, getting the COVID-19 vaccine. To get or not to get isn’t just a question of personal responsibility and safety, it’s one of compassion and empathy.
