Storage unit owner responds to Examiner story

California-based ownership of a Nederland storage unit that burst into flames mid-holidays 2022 has responded to The Examiner’s coverage roughly a month later. Brad Lund, part-owner and CEO of Purely Storage, said he had been in receipt of the article featured in the Dec.

Customers of a Nederland storage facility were locked out from retrieving any salvageable items or taking photographs from their rented storage units after a Nov. 26 fire destroyed most of the facility, according to comments renters made to The Examiner.

Fire crews remained on the scene during the morning hours of July 26 after a fire completely destroyed a Beaumont church. According to Beaumont Fire Department (BFD), the fire was reported about 10 p.m. July 25 at the Central City Baptist Church, located at the corner of Franklin St. and Avenue E.

Central City Baptist Church announces first gathering since fire

The Central City Baptist Church will have their first gathering since the fire at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 31. The event will be held in the parking lot at the corner of Franklin Street and Ave. E in Beaumont, across the street from the church.  This will be an outdoor event, weather permitting.
