Cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers and artists will convene in downtown Beaumont for weekend filled with movies, music and more at the annual Boomtown Film & Music Festival to be held Friday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 11 at multiple venues.

Boomtown 48-hour Film Race

Do you have what it takes to write, shoot and edit your own short film in just two days? Can your team best all the rest and win fortune and glory? The annual Boomtown 48-Hour Film Race is free to enter and will kick off on Friday, Aug. 19, at Madison’s on Dowlen (4020 Dowlen Rd.

Foreign Film Thursday

The historic Jefferson Theatre at 345 Fannin St. in downtown Beaumont will show the 1948 Italian drama, “Ladri Di Biciclette,” on Thursday, July 7, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4-$6 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or at the venue, day of show.
