The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) will host “Margaret Smithers-Crump: Kinship” as it’s spring exhibition on view now through June 18. Smithers-Crump is a Houston-based sculptor, whose work focuses on the vulnerability and interconnectedness of the Earth’s diverse life forms and ecosystems.

GOOD NEWS | Celebrating ceramics

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) presents its popular Free Family Arts Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at the downtown museum, Main St.  Art activities, along with live clay demonstrations from ceramicist Greg Busceme, will correlate with AMSET’s current exhibition, James C.

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas is presenting their newest exhibit, “James C. Watkins: Reflections Made of Memories,” on view Jan. 7-March 19.

Watkins ‘Retrospective’

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) will present James C. Watkins: Reflections Made of Memories, on view from Jan. 7 through March 19, 2023. An opening reception, free and open to the public, is set for on Friday, Jan. 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Museum Madness Weekend

Halloween is vastly approaching and there is no better way jumpstart the fun festivities with the area’s first-ever Museum Madness this weekend, beginning Thursday, Oct. 20. Various museums and local destinations spots will host events for the entire family throughout Jefferson County.
