All hail queen Neches Hear ye, hear year… Christianna McAfee, daughter of Natasha McCray and Jeremy Laurence McAfee Sr., was named Neches River Festival Queen LXXIV at the annual NRF Coronation Ball last weekend in Beaumont.

Last Wednesday evening after a spring shower cooled our fair city, the sun shined bright at the downtown Event Centre for the arrival of Neches River Festival LXXIV King’s arrival.

Le Grand Bal 2022 “LU in the Sky with Diamonds” gala was a groovy, psychedelic event chaired by Laura and Craig Escamilla last Saturday evening. The accessory of the evening was the round, Beatle-type glasses worn by many of the guests along with bell bottoms, beads and bright colors.

Lamar University Friends of the Arts presents Le Grand Bal 2022 fundraiser on March 26. Chaired by Laura and Craig Escamilla, this year’s theme is “LU in the Sky with Diamonds,” a psychedelic celebration of the Beatles supporting LU fine arts programs.

What a night for the Junior League of Beaumont as they hosted the sixth annual “Dancing With the Stars of Southeast Texas” fundraiser last Friday evening at the Civic Center. Kudos to JLB President Brenna Rodriguez along with chairs Carly Shelander and Emily Wilson and co-chair Allison Wright.

So excited for the annual Go for the Gold party and reverse drawing fundraiser Thursday, March 10, at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in downtown Beaumont. Chaired by Rocky Chase, this year’s theme is El Dorado – the mythical city of gold believed to have been in Columbia.
