What a bang it was… despite a damp start to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, skies cleared for our fair city to celebrate Independence Day, which started bright and early with the annual Calder Place 1929 Parade.

The American Cancer Society hosted their kickoff party last Thursday at Madison’s on Dowlen for their annual Cattle Baron’s Ball Gala. Kathy Chessher, senior community development manager for this area’s ACS, had to miss the event, but was certainly there in spirit.

Upcoming fun on the Fourth
Once again, 1929 Calder Place Association will host their annual Fourth of July Parade on Monday, July 4. Folks can come out to participate in the activity or just to enjoy the festivities.
