The City of Beaumont continues to make progress on trash collection and storm debris cleanup following Tropical Storm Edouard, that hit Outheast Texas on September 1. As of Friday, Sept 18, regular residential garbage collection is on schedule, and crews have completed this week’s routes. Solid Waste crews are now responding to any missed-service and customer service calls.
Storm debris and heavy trash collection also continues throughout the city. This includes limbs, bulky items and other heavy trash placed at the curb following the storm.
The first citywide pass is now approximately 80% complete, with crews expecting to finish the first pass by Tuesday, September 22.
Crews are currently working in the area from College Street to Frint Road and Oklahoma Avenue to Cardinal Drive.
