Four arrested in Wall Street burglary

Four suspects were arrested June 5 in connection with a burglary on Wall Street, according to the Beaumont Police Department.

At 3:32 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Wall Street in reference to suspicious persons.

Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed Selina Deroche, 45, seated inside a U-Haul vehicle and detained her for further investigation. Officers also observed Ezell Maron, 44, and Mack Warner, 46, near a section of an exterior wall that had been peeled back. When officers attempted to make contact, both men allegedly fled on foot. Officers apprehended Maron and Warner after a brief pursuit.

A search of the area led officers to locate Francisco Ortiz, 37, reportedly found hiding beneath a rotting tree near the scene.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division allege all four individuals were acting together in an attempt to burglarize the building.

Deroche, Maron, Warner and Ortiz were each charged with burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity. Maron and Warner also were charged with evading detention.
