As part of the I-10 Widening Project, contractors will begin demolition of the FM 365 overpass at approximately 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, and continue through 5 a.m. Monday, April 20, according to a press release by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
During the period, traffic on the main lanes of I-10 eastbound and westbound will be directed to the frontage roads. Following the demolition, detours will remain in place until construction of the new overpass is completed, which is anticipated in late 2026.
According to TxDOT, they held multiple meetings with stakeholders affected by the work. TxDOT added that administration recognizes that construction can be inconvenient, and appreciate the public’s patience.
