Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office announced the arrest a Texas man in connection with the distribution of child sexual abuse material in Assumption Parish, reported WAFB.com.
Kyler Bradley Montelaro, 19, of Lumberton, was arrested on March 4 in Lumberton, on 12 counts of child sexual abuse material (distribution), under the age of 13.
According to authorities, he was booked into the Hardin County Jail, waived extradition, and was transported and booked into the Assumption Parish Jail. His bond amount is unknown.
Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) agents began their investigation following a tip that was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Through the investigation, agents reported they discovered the crime took place in Pierre Part, Louisiana, which is north of Morgan City.
This arrest resulted from a joint investigation by the LBI, Texas Office of the Attorney General, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, and the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Officials reported the investigation is ongoing.
