Popular rapper That Mexican OT returning to Beaumont in August

Popular rapper That Mexican OT has announced a new tour - "That Mexican OT Recess Tour" - which begins in August and will include a Beaumont date Saturday, Aug. 30, at Doggett Ford Park Exhibit Hall at 7 p.m.

Also on the Beaumont date are performers RNB FOEMOB and Drodi.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 20, via Ticketmaster and the Doggett Ford Park Exhibit Hall box office (5115 Interstate 10 South).

This will be the second Beaumont appearance for That Mexican OT, who appeared at The Roxy in July 2024. Tickets for that show sold out in less than 10 minutes.

OT embodies Texas culture like few artists working in rap today. Born and bred in Bay City, Texas, OT proudly represents the Third Coast, and his new album "Lonestar Luchador" is a singular combination of the bold flavors that come together to create Texas. OT’s music fuses the screwed-up sound and trunk rattle of Houston rap, the furious flows and methodical bars of East Coast hip-hop, and the throwback feeling of classic norteño and Tejano, a showcase of the diverse styles that made OT the one-of-a-kind MC he is today.

He’s collaborated with indisputable Texas legends like Paul Wall on his single “Johnny Dang." The video along has garnered nearly 100 million views on YouTube.

OT's newest single, "Baby Mad at Me," features icon Lil Wayne.
