The Monsignor Kelly Catholic Bulldogs delivered another impressive performance, finishing in second place at the Bay Area Christian District Preview at Magnolia Creek Golf Club on Feb. 25.
Competing against 16 teams and more than 100 players, the Bulldogs battled through tough conditions, including cold temperatures, wet fairways and heavy fog.
Kelly sophomore standout Reece Williams stole the show by claiming first place with an impressive 1-under 71, the only round played under part during the tournament. His stellar play helped him edge out Grayson Petru of Cypress Christian School, who is committed to play college golf at Sam Houston State.
As a team, the Bulldogs were seconded by Second Baptist School thanks to the play by senior captain Julian Mathews (84 score), freshman Skylyn Fisher (88), freshman Lucian Mathews (89) and unior Ethan Cooper (95).
