The Galveston Sandcastle Festival is a weekend-long event featuring AIA’s iconic Sandcastle Competition, live music, food and drinks, vendor village and beachside fun at Galveston’s East Beach. The events also includes a castle creation kid zone, solar cooking demonstration, beachside Bloody Mary battle, sandcastle building lessons as well as live music from local and regional bands Girlbouy, Austin Gatson, Karankawa, Kevin Anthony & G-Town, Galvezton, India Tigers in Texas, Songs for Lila, Raa Tansiel, Oje Band, Youth Soul Love and DEM Roots. Located at the far eastern tip of the island, East Beach is home to a pavilion, boardwalk and entertainment stage as well as restrooms, showers, chair and umbrella rentals, concessions and other amenities.
