Buckstin Brewing Co. in Beaumont will host their first “Bucktoberfest” on Saturday, Sept. 14. The free-to-attend, family - friendly event begins at 11 a.m. and includes traditional German-style lager and food; ceremonial cask tapping; traditional Deutsche Volksmusik from the Golden Triangle Brass Quintet; steinholding competition (Bavarian strength contest in which competitors hold a full one-liter beer stein in front of the bodies); wurst eating competition; Oktoberfest costume contest; kids activities such as face painting, hat station, pretzel necklaces, and lots of art options; and music by DJs.
