The Beaumont Police Department (BPD) is asking the public's help in identifying human remains that were discovered in the 1300 block of College Street on July 22.
BPD reported the remains were in an advanced state of decomposition, making identification challenging. The deceased is believed to be a Caucasian or Hispanic male, aged 30 to 40 years, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot in height. Notably, he was missing a tooth on his front bottom jaw, which is believed to have been lost before death. Forensic analysis suggests the individual died approximately two weeks ago.
The cause of death is currently undetermined, pending further examination. There are no reports of missing males matching this description in the relevant timeframe, according to BPD.
Anyone with potential information regarding the identity of the deceased is urged to contact BPD detectives at (409) 832-1234 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at (409) 833- TIPS (8477).
