A 44-year-old Hardin County woman who had been reported missing, was found safe July 24.
According to Capt. Mike Custer of the Hardin County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), Kristena Leander Johnson of Batson, was found safe. She reportedly left a residence in Batson around 2 p.m. on July 21. Her vehicle was recovered in Honey Island later that same night.
Witnesses reported speaking with Johnston at 10 p.m. on July 21 and at 2 a.m. July 22 in the Honey Island area. She was seen in the same general area around 5 p.m.
