Around 2 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to a man brandishing a firearm along the 7200 block of Highway 12, according to a news release.
Upon arrival, Joshua Michael Sykes, 37, fired several rounds, with one striking a sheriff's office vehicle. No one was injured in the mayhem and the Sykes was taken into custody without further incident. The scene is still being processed.
