Volunteers are gearing up for the 22nd annual St. Joseph’s Day event at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica on Tuesday, March 19. A pasta lunch and Courville’s fried fish will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dine-in and take-out meals will be provided for a $12 donation.

Man killed in industrial accident

A Vidor man was killed in an industrial accident at Optimus Steel LLC on March 4, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO). Capt. Joey Jacobs reported John May, 61, of Vidor, died following the accident around 2 p.m.
