Jefferson County Tax Office to close Monday

The Jefferson County Tax Office will be closed to the public as of Monday, March 23, but will remain functioning from an internal standpoint, according to a news release. Dealers may drop off and pick up title work at the Mid-County and Beaumont offices only. Visit jeffcotax.

Dozens tested in Beaumont for coronavirus

On March 19, Legacy Community Health clinic reported administering nearly 300 COVID-19 screening tests at its mobile sites in Houston and Beaumont. In Beaumont alone, 33 tests were administered and are waiting analysis.
