Fighting crime in ‘real time’

The Beaumont Police Department is using technology to help reduce crime and the public got its first look of the Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) on July 18 during an official grand opening and ribbon cutting. The RTCC is located on the second floor of the Municipal Court Building in downtown Beaumont.

Jasper coach shot, killed in San Antonio bar

A Jasper High School coach was shot and killed after she was struck by gunfire on the patio of Smoke Skybar in San Antonio, according to media reports. As reported, Ayden Rose Burt, 29, was a volleyball and track coach, as well as a teacher, at Jasper Junior High School.
