BISD to resume bus routes

After carefully investigating and conducting contact tracing, Beaumont ISD has determined that the majority of transportation staff were not in close contact with the confirmed positive case, according to a news release. As such, the district will resume operating transportation routes on Nov. 3.

Sewage closes West Brook

Due to a sewage complication caused by current construction at the campus, West Brook High School will dismiss all on-campus learning students at 10:45 a.m., today, Oct. 23, according to a news release from BISD. All students and staff will switch to virtual learning for the remainder of the day.

Governor devotes nearly $300 million to public safety initiatives

Governor Greg Abbott announced Oct. 16 that his Public Safety Office (PSO) will administer more than $296 million in grant funding for a variety of programs and services in Texas to support a broad range of public safety initiatives.
