Gunman robs PA game room patron

Around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22, Port Arthur police responded to the Bida Vinh game room in reference to a robbery, according to a news release.  Upon arrival, officers learned that two men, of whom one was armed, entered the game room and approached a patron.

Around 2 p.m. Dec. 23, Beaumont police announced the arrest of a murder suspect believed to have taken part in the Nov. 22 crime on Glasshouse Street.  BPD arrested Joseph Gerard Matthews Dec. 23 after the wanted man spent a month with detectives on his trail. Jacoby Jackson was killed Nov.

Just after 6 p.m. Dec. 18, Beaumont police responded to a burglary on Cartwright Avenue, where the alleged suspect was shot and killed. The caller advised that her ex-boyfriend was breaking into her residence.
