TxDOT announces Delaware exit closure

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced the Delaware Street exit of Highway 69 will be closed nightly for the next six months beginning Oct. 17. According to the news release, the exit ramp for the northbound exit will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately half a year.

Second murder suspect found behind bars

Beaumont Police Department (BPD) detectives Oct. 14 filed a second murder charge in relation to a murder that occurred on Hayes Lane Aug. 25. After charging a 14-year-old with murder in this case, BPD detectives charged Beaumont resident Elijah Jakquel Guillory, 20, with the same.
