Dean’s List Four Hardin County residents were named to the Dean’s List at their respected colleges. Christina Hawkins of Kountze was named to the Dean's List for the 2022 Spring semester at Angelo State University. She is majoring in music.

A Lumberton Police Department officer and his K9 partner are recovering after they were involved in a two-vehicle crash on June 3. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating the collision that resulted in the arrest of a local resident for DWI.

Port Arthur police have asked for the public’s help finding a fugitive they suspect played a role in the death of a three-year-old child. The boy’s mother and sister were arrested for injury to a child on May 31.
