MFW summer camp

Sign up your little wranglers for the McFaddin-Ward House’s Ranching Round-Up Summer Camp, with sessions scheduled for June 27-29, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and July 25-27, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The last day to register for the June camp is June 17. The last day to register for July is July 15.

Silsbee library presented check

The Silsbee Public Library recently received a check from Performing Visual Arts Council (PVAC). Last month, Library Manager Pam Hartt was presented a $300 check from the PVAC President Gaye Lokey and Past President Carole Seabrook for supporting this year’s ArtFest.

Grand opening for ag barn extension

A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 6 p.m. Monday, June 20, for the new agriculture barn extension at Lumberton High School, 107 South LHS Drive. There will also be a tour of the facility.

Library grant to support summer reading

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation recently awarded the Friends of Kountze Public Library a $1,498 grant to support summer reading and literacy. The grant is part of the DG Literacy Foundation’s recent award of $10.
