Food (truck) and fun

Saturday, June 25, visit Spindletop- Gladys City Boomtown, 5550 Jimmy Simmons Blvd., from 4 – 8 p.m., for a food truck extravaganza. The four-hour event will feature several food truck selections, as well as live entertainment, while guests enjoy the summer night and boomtown scenery.

Cat days of summer

Beaumont Animal Care (BAC), 1884 Pine St. in Beaumont, is hosting a month-long initiative to adopt out as many of the shelter’s 40 cats as possible during June’s Adopt-A-Cat month.
