Toddlers see dad robbed on Father's Day eve

Beaumont police say a 21-year-old Beaumont man robbed a dad at gunpoint – in front of the victim’s two toddlers – at an apartment complex on North Major Drive Saturday, June 18. At about 6:30 p.m.

Birding 101

Saturday, June 25, spend an hour from 8 – 9 a.m. learning about the joys of birding with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Visit Port Arthur at the Sea Rim State Park. Get comfortable using binoculars and learn how to identify some common birds at Sea Rim State Park.

Cat days of summer

Beaumont Animal Care (BAC), 1884 Pine St. in Beaumont, is hosting a month-long initiative to adopt out as many of the shelter’s 40 cats as possible during June’s Adopt-A-Cat month.
