Commissioners agree on 4.5% wage increase

The Hardin County Commissioners Court agreed to a 4.5% wage increase for most employees, except for some with higher rank in the sheriff’s department. During the budget workshop portion of the agenda on June 28, the court discussed the revised the Fiscal Year 2023 Wage Analysis.

Ernest Gerhardt Schluter, Jr., 78, of Beaumont, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Ernest is predeceased by his parents, Ernest Gerhardt Schluter, Sr. and Bertha Krueger Schluter; brother, Marvin Ray Schluter and son, Steven Ray Schluter.
