The Officer Bryan Hebert Memorial Foundation (OBHMF) announced Cadets Michael Maldonado and Adam Good as the recipients of the OBHMF Scholarship to attend LIT’s 2022 Fall Police Academy. Each recipient received a $1,500 scholarship for the academy.

Sept. 21, Tyler County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies arrested a 17-year-old male for making a felony terroristic threat to a school. According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, Chassin Tausch of Colmesneil was arrested and booked into the Tyler County Jail. Approximately at 5 p.m.

Each Sept. 25, Beaumont Police Department (BPD) officers remembered Deputy City Marshall William Patterson, who was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 25, 1881. According to BPD, Deputy Patterson responded to a disturbance at a church where three suspects had broken several windows.
