Happy holiday weekend The socials spent the Memorial Day weekend celebrating their freedoms with friends and family. Many enjoyed lake living, frolicking at the beach, traditions and backyard barbeques while others stayed poolside in their own backyards.

City of Beaumont releases details for annaul Fourth of July celebration

The City of Beaumont announced details to its highly anticipated Annual Fourth of July Celebration, which is slated for Tuesday, July 4, at the Downtown Event Centre and Lake beginning at 5 p.m.

Ford Arena to host 'Together Again Tour'

GRAMMY-nominated band MercyMe announced their fall "Together Again Tour" will stop at Beaumont's Ford Arena on Friday, Oct. 20, and will also feature performances by Crowder and Andrew Ripp. Exclusive presale tickets will be available online at fordpark.com and ksbj.org on Thursday, June 1.

Jazz at the Lake

The City of Beaumont’s annual Jazz at the Lake returns to the Downtown Event Centre monthly from June to August for summer nights of live entertainment, cool jazz, and community fun. The concert is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. indoors at the Event Centre (700 Crockett St.).

‘Bus Stop’

Port Arthur Little Theatre presents “Bus Stop” on Friday, May 26, through Sunday, May 28. The Friday-Saturday shows are 7:30 p.m. while the May 28 is a matinee at 2:30 p.m. In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a roadside diner.

Artistic walls Kudos to the Beaumont Art League with the amazing art of Melody Montero-Ortiz, whose art is hanging throughout the museum. Her pieces were named Best of Show at the League’s 2022 Winter Show.
