Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reported that state sales tax revenue totaled $3.92 billion in June, 6.8% more than in June 2022. The majority of June sales tax revenue is based on sales made in May and remitted to the agency in June.

Grant gives funds to power mental health during disaster

Jefferson County has awarded a grant of $957,474 to Spindletop Center through funds received from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The grant funds will allow Spindletop Center to purchase and install a power generator for its North Campus facility, located at 655 S. 8th St. in Beaumont.
