April 29, the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA) Southeast Texas Chapter Meeting was held with Lamar University faculty and students to recognize this year’s award recipients.
Recipients included Ashton DeRouen, Accounting Excellence Award recipient; Peyton Jones, Chapter Endowed Scholarship recipient; and Scholarship recipients Michael Vu and Angela Arceneaux.
Dr. Orrin Swift was also recognized as the 2024-2025 Faculty Research Award recipient and Chip Majors was honored for his service as 2025-2026 chapter president.
During the program, Majors presented the President’s Special Recognition Award to Josh LeBlanc, CPA.
