Troopers are staged at the Texas-Louisiana border screening those coming from Louisiana. The process directs passenger vehicles into the Texas travel center where the DPS is requesting travel exemptions or gathering self-quarantine info.

The undertaking comes one week after Gov. Abbott issued a mandatory 14-day quarantine for individuals traveling for personal reasons from the neighboring state. Enforcement began at 9 a.m. this morning.
