Temporary housing and aid distribution pods were delivered to Beaumont and Orange Monday in the wake of Hurricane Laura.

Seven temporary housing pods from RedGuard Specialist Services could be seen traveling to The Event Centre parking lot Monday afternoon. The Coast Guard requested the pods, according to workers at the site, although they weren't sure who would be utilizing the units.

Each pod includes three bedrooms and can house up to 12 individuals, according to the company's website. The modular units include running water and HVAC.

According to a news release from the Orange County Office of Emergency Management, drive-thru points of distributions were established throughout the county to provide residents with water, ice and MRE -- meals ready to eat. The following locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 31 through Sept. 2.

The locations include:

Orange Boat Ramp at 408 Pier Rd.,

Bridge City Intermediate School at 1029 Roundbunch,

Mauriceville at 11916 Hwy. 62 North,

and

Vidor at Turning Point Church, 3600 N. Main St.
