The second of the Southeast Texas Stand Down events for 2026 will kick off March 13 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center Dome in Lumberton.
The Southeast Texas Stand Downs are free events that provide specialized services, resources, and assistance to area veterans and their families, homeless veterans, veterans seeking social services, their families and the homeless. They are held in multiple locations and cities in Southeast Texas including Beaumont, Jasper, Lumberton, Orange and Port Arthur.
Hosted by the SETX Veterans for Veterans (V4V), the Southeast Texas Stand Downs are a collaborative effort involving SETX V4V, American Legion Post 33, and the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission, according to SETX V4V's website.
