The Port Arthur City Council will discuss its intent to sell several parks throughout the city at a meeting March 31.

The council considered the matter in late 2019, but no vote was taken. The funds generated from selling the parks would be used to improve the city's remaining parks. Those that will be considered for sale are Carver Terrace Park, Civic Park, Felix & Milton Barker Park, Hughen Park, Immigrant Park and Montgomery Park.
