Man struck by truck on U.S. 96

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported a man was airlifted to a Houston hospital after being stuck on U.S. 96 near Country Road 303, south of Jasper on Oct. 22.

DPS stated a 2020 Chevrolet box truck was southbound on U.S. 96 when Benjamin Lee, 23, of Jasper, walked onto the highway in the path of the truck. The driver of the truck was Miguel Rojas, 27, of Groves.
