A Port Arthur man is jailed on multiple charges, including murder. The first call came in around 10:30 Sunday morning about a naked man entering an apartment at the Ridgewood Apartments in Port Neches without permission and was breaking out windows from inside the apartment. With the assistance of K-9 Ruger, 21-year-old Dekovin Flanagan was found hiding in a closet. He was arrested and was initially transported to the hospital for medical clearance as he appeared intoxicated on an unknown substance. Further investigation revealed that prior to his arrest Flanagan is accused of breaking out windows at the Matterhorn Apartments on Ridgewood Drive. Around 2:00 Sunday afternoon, the body of 68-year-old Frank Cameron Imhoff, of Nederland, was found at Central Maxi Storage in Port Neches. Chief of Police Cheri Griffith told The Examiner it is believed Flanagan stole Imhoff’s pickup and trailer at the storage unit and ran him over, who was trying to stop Flanagan from stealing his vehicle. Imoff died at the scene. Flanagan is in the Jefferson County, Jail.
