Law enforcement training June 23 at LHS

Lumberton ISD announced area law enforcement agencies will utilize select district facilities to conduct routine training exercises Tuesday, June 23.

The district noted the training will take place in limited and secured portions of Lumberton High School, not affecting Summer School students and staff.

“If you see an increased presence of emergency vehicles or first responders on our campuses during these times, please do not be alarmed,” the district announced. “These are scheduled training opportunities that support our continued partnership with local and regional public safety agencies.

“Allowing first responders to train in realistic educational environments significantly improves their preparedness for school-based emergencies. These exercises strengthen interagency coordination, enhance law enforcement’s understanding of our campus layouts, and reinforce the strong relationships that protect our community.”
