Just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, a traffic stop on I-10  in Orange County led to three arrests as well as the seizure of 1.34 pounds of marijuana and two handguns. 

Detectives stopped the passenger car for a traffic violation and smelled the "strong odor of marijuana" upon making contact with the driver. Orange County sheriff's officers and Vidor police arrested two black men and one black woman, all from the Dallas area, for felony possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying weapons. The investigation is ongoing.

According to the Orange County jail roster, three people were arrested Sept. 9 on the same charges, including: Braw Jaena Maryca Law, 22; Dav Davyeon Quinn Batiste, 19; and Jawon Wayland Jackson, 23.
