First physicians vaccinated at Baptist Hospital

Five Baptist Hospital physicians were vaccinated Dec. 18, including Dr. Qamar Arfeen, Baptist's COVID Unit Lead Intensivist.

Arfeen encouraged Southeast Texans to follow suit as soon as the vaccine becomes available to the public. According to data from the State Department of Health and Human Services, 4,187 vaccine doses have been administered throughout the state. At least 18 Southeast Texas physicians have been vaccinated.
