The Examiner wholeheartedly endorses Jeff Branick for Jefferson County Judge because Branick has integrity, and the experience to lead our county through double-digit inflation and uncertain economic times ahead of us. Jefferson County needs a strong, smart County Judge that has proven they will show up every day and work hard for us.
Branick believes in economic growth that will support local families and works for environmental restoration that will protect us from future hurricanes. We support him because he has the experience needed to fill the vital role the County Judge plays during natural disasters, as he has proven time and time again.
Branick has a track record of working with cities and local residents during the good times and the bad, celebrating our victories and efforts, and being ever-present when we trudge through calamitous events like a global pandemic or the multiple hurricanes the area has experienced during the judge’s time in office.
Branick on Day One has all the FEMA certifications that qualify him to be the Emergency Management Director, which not only showcases the rescue abilities he possess to help protect citizens, but also is representative of his prowess in getting aid to Jefferson County so desperately needed after a disaster.
Jeff Branick, in addition to being the Chief Executive overseeing the administration and financial activities of Jefferson County, must also preside as judge over mental health cases, which, in his tenure, have numbered in the thousands.
We support Branick because he cares about the county and because, during his 12 years in office, he has proven that he will put the county and its citizens’ best interests first.
While Russia is applying a choke hold on Europe withholding the oil and natural gas supplies, Texas is booming; Jefferson County is the No. 1 exporter of crude oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the nation due in large part to the leadership over the last 12 years of County Judge Jeff Branick, who saw our region as important not only to the nation, but to the world.
